Celebrate your failings

A lovely friend gave me some advice yesterday and I would like to share it with you:

‘An ugly baby is better than no baby at all’. It’s very important not to sit on something to wait until the day it’s ‘just right’. Because that day might never come, or you might never feel confident. And what could be something beautiful is never shared with the world. So get it out there, even if you think it’s trash. You’ll either grow from it or flourish.

We are so scared to fail that there are so many times we don’t even try. Here’s the thing, failing is a vital part of life. Let me just repeat that, failing is a necessary part of life. Failures shouldn’t be something to be afraid of, they should be something that is celebrated. All failing is, is an opportunity to grow. You fail a test? Okay, that’s not fun but you can’t go back all you can do is go forward, try better, learn more. That is a beautiful thing!

Carrie Fisher once said, “Stay afraid but do it anyway. What’s important is the action. You don’t have to wait to be confident. Just do it, and eventually, the confidence will follow.” Some of the best things are the scariest but boy are they worth it! If there is something you want, go for it. If you don’t know if you can, try! Learn from it and try some more!

Let’s start a culture of celebrating failures instead of shaming them!

I love you all, feel free to like, comment and share xo
